Mike joined the Forest Hill staff in May 2017 after managing funeral home locations in Springfield and Sedalia, MO. Prior to that, he worked in St. Louis after graduating from the Funeral Service Education Program at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park in May 2006.
Mike graduated from high school in Jefferson City, MO. He earned a bachelor's in radiologic technology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he also pursued his master's in health care administration.
He worked in several hospitals throughout Missouri and Virginia during his 18 years in diagnostic and administrative health care. In 1994, he began a 10-year career in McDonald's franchising with his older brother in Southwest Missouri. In 2004, he returned to school at St. Louis Community College to pursue his education in funeral services and embalming.
In October 2010, Mike married his wife, Vera. They enjoy traveling and cooking and he likes to spends his free time riding his bike. His parents lived in Jefferson City, where his dad was a retired Air Force navigator and then a dentist. His mom was a commercial real estate agent. He has five brothers and sisters scattered throughout Missouri. And his children, Anna, Doug and Chris, are also scattered in New Jersey, Missouri and Illinois.
