Never Forget Tribute

During the month of September, Forest Hill Community Outreach will exhibit a 3,000 American flag display in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001. Each flag in our Never Forget Tribute is placed in honor of a victim, emergency responder or military member who lost their life on that tragic day.

Memphis area residents and organizations are invited to participate in the installation of the 3,000-piece Never Forget Tribute. This family-friendly community endeavor will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017 at Forest Hill Memorial Park East (2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133). Installation day also features a banner to write words of appreciation and encouragement to our local first responders as a gesture of gratitude for all they do every day. The Never Forget Tribute will stand throughout the month of September 2017.

The second component of our Never Forget Tribute is a youth art exhibit and appetizer reception, which starts at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East.

We welcome and encourage all visitors to share photos of our Never Forget Tribute on Facebook using #MemphisNeverForgets.

As a memento, a free 9/11 memorial lapel pin will be given to those who visit this grand remembrance display. Our desire is to provide the Memphis community a venue to remember and honor the victims and heroes of Sept. 11, 2001.

Forest Hill Community Outreach, a program of Forest Hill Funeral Home, is committed to honoring the sacrifices of veterans, first responders, and civilian and military heroes.

If you or your veteran group, scout troop, social club, service association, or other organization would like to participate, please call our Community Outreach Coordinator at (901) 382-1000 or complete the short form below:
